A tool is valuable when it improves learning; it becomes a problem when it hides gaps in understanding.

    Digital skills now matter across many subjects. Even students outside computing may benefit from learning to organize data, evaluate online information, communicate professionally, and protect personal information. These habits support work and everyday decision-making after graduation.

    Students arrive at university with different resources, responsibilities, and needs. Some are the first in their family to attend. Others work long hours, care for relatives, live with disabilities, or study in a second language. A system that assumes every student has the same time and support will leave talented people behind.

    Universities can improve access through clear information about costs, flexible scheduling, disability accommodations, advising, and timely academic support.
